He received his first professional job as Live Animal Biologist at the Fort Worth Museum of Science & History and then moved on as Lead Keeper in the Reptile Department at the Dallas Zoo. His current position is Keeper at the Fort Worth Zoo in Fort Worth, Texas, where he has been employed since 1990. Steve is active in various regional and international herpetological societies and has served as a board member to the Society for the Study of Amphibians and Reptiles.

Steve has successfully reproduced many species of reptile since he founded H.I.S.S. back in 1979, including burmese pythons, carpet pythons, ball pythons, rainbow boas, sand boas, Madagascan tree boas, green tree pythons and just about every type of colubrid snake you can think of! His main focus now is ball python and kenyan sand boa morphs.

Kelli Hammack grew up in Garland, Texas and has always had an avid interest in all animals. In her early twenties she began to build up a collection of snakes and geckos, and has reproduced several gecko species in captivity, including crested geckos, leaf tail geckos, Chinese cave geckos, day geckos, fat tail geckos, Malaysian cat geckos and leopard geckos. Kelli is best known for the many leopard geckos she reproduces each year, however she is also working with a nice group of Rhacodactylus geckos.

We take great care to ensure that all of our animals get only the best of care and Steve and I are always available to answer questions or just "talk herps" so feel free to call or email us anytime. We want your experience with us and our animals to be a positive one. We consider many of our customers to be our friends and we hope to provide our friends with beautiful captive produced herps for years to come!
